Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

Amazon Prime Day is the biggest online sale of the year, but it can also be incredibly frustrating. There are "deals" on countless products, but unless you do a ton of research, it's hard to figure out whether a sale price represents much of a deal at all. For some people, doing that research can be the "fun" part, replicating the experience of digging through a bargain bin at your local outlet, hoping to find something worth grabbing. But if that actually sounds like no fun to you, allow me to help. Our writers and editors are spending this week combing through all of Amazon's deals on laptops, headphones, smart home tech, kitchen appliances, and more in search of bargains actually worth paying attention to.

Below are 10 of our favorite deals so far. Keep checking back, as I'll update this post throughout the week with more of the best and biggest bargains.

A phone-shaped e-reader with a cult following

I've been personally obsessed with the Boox Palma e-reader for about two years now. It has the form factor of a phone, the screen of a Kindle, and an open Android operating system that lets you download any reading apps you want to, so you aren't tied to buying books from whichever retailer sold you the device. Carrying it with me alongside my iPhone has helped me read way more and doomscroll way less. This thing basically never goes on sale, so the current $30 discount is a relative bargain.

Amazon's color Kindle for $100 off

While I don't personally love it as much as I do the Boox Palma (or even the Boox Go Color 7, which is my personal pick for the best all-around color e-reader), Amazon's Kindle Colorsoft unquestionably offers the best image quality of any e-ink device I've tried. If you're OK with being tied into the Amazon ecosystem (and understand the drawbacks of color e-ink), it's a fantastic buy right now—$100 off the usual price, and cheaper than the regular price of the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (which is on sale for $150 right now, incidentally).

The Microsoft Surface Pro combination laptop and tablet

Our tech reviewer David Nield gave this two-in-one device a glowing 4.5/5 review earlier this year, praising its features, suburb build, and battery life. All the more reasons to grab one at its lowest price yet—it's $100 off, which will take you a long way toward getting a keyboard and stylus to go with it.

A MacBook Air that will last you for years

Apple may be doing too good a job with the MacBook Air lineup. I'm still rocking an M1 from 2020 and it works basically like new. I can only imagine how long I'd be able to use the new M4 MacBook Air, which now comes with 16GB of RAM standard. (Probably a lot longer than I care to contemplate in 2025.) Right now, you can get one for $150 off, making it one of our tech editor Michelle Ehrhardt's top Prime Day picks.

The AirPods Pro, because...they're the AirPods Pro, but 40% off

I probably don't have to tell you that Apple AirPods Pro are a great buy if you've got an iPhone or are otherwise in the Apple ecosystem. They regularly feature on "best wireless headphones" lists, including ours, and now you can spend a lot less to get them—they're 40% off, one of the biggest discounts I've seen on an Apple product.

The AirPods Pro Max at a price that actually makes them worth it

Lifehacker Tech Editor Jake Peterson loves his Apple AirPods Max headphones, but he'd be the first to admit that the $550 retail price is pretty steep when comparable headphones—if less stylish and Apple-friendly—can be bought for a lot less. But that's what Prime Day is for: These standout over-ear headphones have been knocked down nearly 30%, to just under $400, making them actually worth buying.

Or the AirPods 4, if you aren't made of money

In addition to Apple's most crazy expensive AirPods, Amazon has a great discount on the latest non-AirPods 4, bringing them down to $89. Granted, that's for the version without automatic noise cancellation (ANC), but it's still a great price. (AirPods tend to hold their value a long time, and rarely go on a massive sale.) I bought these for my daughter for Christmas and paid $30 more, which is incidentally what the ANC version costs now. Instead, I got to enjoy my kid going "Oh, just the regular ones? Thanks, I guess." (Just kidding, she was still mostly enthused.)

The Oura Ring 4, on sale for the first time ever

I'm not really a fitness wearable type of person—if I've ever recorded a non-walking workout on my Apple Watch, it was probably an accident—but Lifehacker Health Editor Beth Skwarecki swears by 'em and is well-versed in the space. She has been wearing an Oura Ring for more than four years, so I trust her judgement when she says the Prime Day deal on the new-ish Oura Ring 4 is worth paying attention to. It's just 15% off, true—but it's also the first time the device has ever gone on sale, so If you've been waiting, now is the time.

The best Apple Watch for most people

Maybe you're not a ring person, or aren't crazy about the Oura Ring's subscription costs. No worries—that's why Apple gave us the Apple Watch, the fitness tracker/smartwatch for the rest of us. You can now grab the latest Apple Watch Series 10—the best choice for most people—for $120 off. That 30% discount is pretty great when it comes to Apple products (and Walmart is matching it, if you prefer to shop there).

A Google Pixel 9 so cheap, our deals writer upgraded

Our resident deals guru Daniel Oropeza spends every day searching for sales and working to uncover the best bargains, so when he says Amazon's Prime Day price on the Google Pixel 9 was good enough to get him to upgrade his Pixel 6A as he was writing about it, you should take notice. Google's best smartphone yet (per our tech editor Michelle Ehrhardt), the Pixel 9 is currently $250 off.

Our food writer's absolute favorite air fryer

Lifehacker's food expert Allie Chanthorn Reinmann has tested a bunch of air fryers, but she loves the Instant Pot Vortex best of all. For Prime Day, this quick-cooking workhorse is 40% off, taking it down to $90. I'm totally getting one to replace the tiny budget air fryer I've been using.

A colorful precision coffeemaker

I was jealous enough last Prime Day when Jake wrote about getting a discount on the colorful, adorable Moccamaster Technivorm coffeemaker, which comes loaded with enough smart features to wow any caffeine fiend (read his take here). It was already sold out then, but right now, you can still grab one in white for 50% off. I should probably go do that now.

An Android tablet with a pro-level stylus that made me wish I could draw

When I reviewed the XP-Pen Magic Note Pad, I came away from it adequately impressed by its capabilities as a general tablet, but convinced that I was missing out on its capabilities for the artistically inclined. It comes bundled with a highly sensitive stylus that will make digital artists drool—it has four times more pressure levels than the Apple Pencil, which means that much more accuracy in translating your artistic vision into the digital space. Normally $440, it's a whopping $180 off right now.

A fistful of AirTags

AirTags are great for keeping track of stuff—I've got one in my car so I always remember where I parked, one attached to both sets of my car keys, and one for my Beats Fit Pro case, because I misplace it several times a day. I need a few more, so I'm getting some on a Prime Day discount: A pack of four is $65, down from $100, making them just $16 or so each—a bargain price for the peace of mind of knowing I'll never have to ask my wife if she's seem my earbuds again.

A butt-saving portable power bank for $1,000 off

It was 95 degrees today in Brooklyn, and I survived it thanks only to my 12,000 BTU Midea AC (let's pretend that recall didn't happen). If we'd suffered a power outage, not only would I have missed the first day of Prime Day, but I'd have melted into the couch. To stop that from happening, I should probably get a battery backup for emergencies. Our trusty freelancer Jeff Somers swears by his—and you can currently pick up a Bluetti power bank that can run nine devices at once for a hefty $1,000 off.

A remote-controlled bidet that will make you look forward to going to the bathroom

Speaking of butts, I've been testing out the Coway Bidetmega 500S at home for about six months now, and the best review of it I can give is to say that I'm not a little disappointed every time I have to use a different toilet. It's really that good, with a ton of features to justify its price, from separate user profiles, to an adjustable spray, to on-demand warm water, to a built-in deodorizer. Amazon reviewers consistently praise it as the best bidet they've ever used, and right now, you can get one for a whopping $270 off. Your butt will thank you.

A vacuum powerful enough to send pet hair to oblivion

My parents owned as many as 12 cats when I was growing up, and I bear the scars (only one of them literal) to the point that I will never own more animals than there are people in my household. But writer Jeff Somers has no such scruples. He has five-ish pets but somehow manages to keep a clean house thanks to what sounds like a truly remarkable vacuum, which has a removable attachment that's basically a dedicated weapon in battles against shedding. At $219, the Shark NV752 TruePet edition is 37% off—a small price to pay for being able to wear a black wool coat in public again.

The robot vacuum expert's favorite robot vacuum

Maybe you want your vacuum to vacuum for you. I'm way too cheap to spend more than $1,000 on a robot vacuum myself, but lots of people seem to love these things—including our resident robot vacuum expert, reviewer Amanda Blum, who has let dozens and dozen of them cruise around her house in order to judge their efficacy at keeping her floors clean. Of all of them, she calls the 3i S10 Ultra combo vacuum/mop "the one"—and right now, it's 37% off. She says she hasn't been able to stop recommending it to people since she first tested it, so I guess I'm sold. Or I would be if I had robot vacuum money.

A multi-tool everyone should own

Writer Jeff Somers and I also have a lot in common when it comes to being homeowners—we're both paranoid about things breaking, and we're sometimes too cheap to pay someone else to fix stuff for us. Which is why he's convinced me I too need this DeWalt multi-tool that he praises to the heavens. It's versatile, with swappable attachments you can use for any number of projects, and it's 57% off right now.

A DeWalt starter tool combo set, while you're at it

While we're talking tools, whenever I edit posts from Lifehacker freelancer Becca Lewis, who is extraordinarily knowledge about building, fixing, and home improvement, I realize how ill-equipped I am to do basically any of that. I should probably pick up one of the deeply Prime Day-discounted DeWalt tool kits she recommends, like this 20-volt, five-tool combo, on sale for $399, 38% off its regular price. It has a drill, a driver, an oscillating multitool, a 6 ½-inch circular saw, a reciprocating saw, two batteries, a charger, and a tool bag. I'm already drawing up plans.
