Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

For many gamers, a wide-screen, curved OLED monitor is the holy grail. Not only do these screens provide unprecedented views of some of gaming's most stunning vistas (and fantastic peripheral views for watching your flank in competitive titles like Marvel Rivals or CoD), but OLED panels make visuals pop like no technology ever has before. The colors are richer, the blacks are deeper, the whites are more vibrant, and the graphics looks crisp enough to slice through MJOLNIR Assault Armor (that's from Halo, if you're not a nerd like me) like butter.

The problem is price. OLED displays are gorgeous, but they're often prohibitively expensive, especially when you're talking about a curved display that's as big as Samsung's 49-inch Odyssey.

Luckily, it's Prime Day to the rescue, with a 44% discount that knocks the Odyssey down to an all-time low of $899.99, brings stunning curved OLED within reach of mere mortals. That's a frankly remarkable price for a gaming monitor that's the size of a fairly large flatscreen TV, particularly when you consider the price premium usually applied to curved monitors. While OLED has been increasingly more affordable in recent years, getting a display this size for under $1,000 is still quite novel.

It's not just for the gamers, either. A big, 49-inch wraparound display like this is a boon for creatives of all types, especially anyone that works in the visual arts. Not only does that curved panel make for more natural viewing angles, but the remarkable color accuracy and vibrancy of OLED is a huge advantage for image and video editing.

If you are a gamer, however, the good news doesn't end at OLED. The Odyssey also packs a 240Hz refresh rate, so even the best hardware won't overwhelm it with too many frames, and it's bristling with a bevy of ports to hook up whichever consoles, PCs or laptops your heart desires. And don't fret about latency: Samsung says the Odyssey delivers an incredible 0.03ms(GTG) response time, so fighting game and shooter fans won't get outfoxed by input lag.
