Prime Day is back, and with it comes the usual scroll spiral of “do I need this?” deals. If you’ve been eyeing a pair of open-ear earbuds that won’t completely shut out the world, the Soundcore AeroFit 2 might be worth your shopping shortlist. They’re currently down to $73.99 (from $129.99)—their lowest price yet, according to price trackers.
Like all Prime Day deals, you’ll need a Prime membership to grab it (or you could sign up for the 30-day free trial and cancel before Amazon charges you $14.99/month).
Hear the world around you
Instead of plugging into your ear canal, the AeroFit 2 sits just outside, using angled speaker modules to deliver sound while letting in ambient noise. That can be a plus if you're biking, running, or working in shared spaces where a little awareness goes a long way. You’ll get around 10 hours of playback on a single charge, with 42 hours total using the case (according to the manufacturer).
That’s slightly less than the first-gen AeroFit, but the tradeoff is better sound: Larger drivers bring in more bass, and LDAC support means you get hi-res audio if your phone can handle it. Other perks include wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint pairing, and IP55 dust and water resistance. No quick pairing like Google Fast Pair, but the setup is simple: open the lid, connect via Bluetooth, and done.
The Soundcore app is where you’ll do most of the fine-tuning. There are a number of EQ presets you can choose from, or you can create a custom profile using the 8-band equalizer. There’s also a 3D Surround Sound mode that tries to make movies and games more immersive. On the downside, there’s no noise cancellation and no mute button for calls, which feels like a miss.
Still, if you’re curious about the open-ear style and want a lightweight, feature-packed pair without spending north of $100, this Prime Day discount is probably the best time to give the AeroFit 2 a shot.
